Overview

This is an ongoing digital partnership covering multiple areas of SCAP’s online presence. The engagement spans website development and continuous maintenance, social media management, and paid advertising for community events ensuring one of North Carolina’s most impactful non-profits has a professional, accessible, and consistently updated digital presence that serves both the communities it supports and the broader stakeholders it reports to.

Challenge

Complex Programme Structure
SCAP operates three distinct programmes across 11 counties, each with its own eligibility criteria, locations, and application processes. The website needed to make this complexity immediately navigable for community members who may be in urgent need of support many of whom are accessing the site on mobile with limited digital literacy.

As an active non-profit, SCAP’s digital needs don’t stop at launch. Regular programme updates, county expansions, event promotions, news releases, job postings, and success stories require consistent, reliable website maintenance to keep the site accurate and current.

SCAP regularly runs community events, family resource fairs, and open interview days across multiple counties. Reaching the right local audiences for each event required targeted paid advertising beyond what organic social media alone could deliver.

Solution

Step 1: Website Development

Built the full SCAP website with a clear, accessible structure across all three programme areas; Head Start, CSBG, and Housing Choice Vouchers. Each programme has dedicated pages covering overviews, eligibility, locations, and application pathways, designed to get community members to the right information as quickly as possible.

Designed the site with the end user in mind; community members who need clear, simple navigation to find support. Plain language, prominent CTAs, and a mobile-first approach were prioritized throughout to ensure the site serves those who need it most.

Manage regular site updates including county expansion announcements, programme changes, new staff profiles, event listings, news posts, success stories, careers pages, and bid proposals keeping the site accurate and operationally current as the organization continues to grow.

Plan and manage SCAP’s social media presence across Facebook and LinkedIn, maintaining a consistent posting cadence that covers community events, programme spotlights, success stories, hiring announcements, and organizational news building ongoing awareness and engagement with the communities they serve.
Run targeted Meta advertising campaigns to promote community events across specific counties including family resource fairs and open interview days. Geo-targeted campaigns ensure event awareness reaches the right local audiences in the right counties at the right time.

Result

SCAP’s digital presence now operates as a reliable, professional, and continuously evolving platform that matches the scale and impact of the organization behind it. Community members across 11 counties can find programme information, check eligibility, locate offices, and apply for support without friction. Regular website maintenance means the site accurately reflects SCAP’s expanding footprint including their recent expansion into four new counties.

Paid advertising campaigns for community events have extended the organisation’s reach beyond their organic audience, driving attendance and awareness across targeted local communities.

Social media management keeps SCAP consistently visible and engaged with the families, partners, and stakeholders who rely on their work.
