Noah Lorex

Personal website for a Dubai-based cinematographer and photographer; built to let the work speak.

Context

Noah Lorex is a Dubai-based cinematographer and photographer specialising in commercial and brand work, real estate films, and events and lifestyle coverage. Operating across three distinct creative categories and building a personal brand across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, Noah needed a website that functioned as a cinematic portfolio; a space that didn’t just list services but immersed visitors in the visual world he creates. The site needed to feel as considered and crafted as the work itself.

Overview

The goal was to build a minimal, visually driven personal brand website that put Noah’s work front and centre. Every design and layout decision was made to get out of the way of the photography and film letting the creative output do the selling. The site needed to serve two audiences simultaneously: commercial clients evaluating Noah for brand campaigns, and real estate developers and agencies looking for property videography and photography.

Challenge

The Work Has to Lead
In creative industries, an overly designed website distracts from the portfolio. The challenge was building something that felt premium and intentional without the interface competing with the imagery and film content it was showcasing.

Commercial and brand work, real estate films, and events and lifestyle coverage attract different clients with different expectations. The site needed to separate these clearly so each visitor type could immediately find work relevant to them without wading through unrelated content.

Noah is building a personal brand alongside a client-facing portfolio. The site needed to communicate his creative identity and personal journey, not just a list of deliverables to attract both commercial clients and a growing social media audience.

Solution

Step 1: Minimal, Cinematic Design
Built a visually restrained design where typography, spacing, and layout were deliberately understated giving Noah’s photography and film work the full visual weight of every page. Dark aesthetic, clean navigation, and generous white space throughout.

Organised the portfolio into three clearly separated sections: Commercial & Brand Work, Real Estate Films, and Events & Lifestyle, each with its own dedicated page allowing relevant clients to land directly on the category most relevant to their brief.

Built the homepage around Noah’s personal introduction leading with his face, his voice, and his creative philosophy before the portfolio. This human-first approach differentiates a personal brand website from a standard agency portfolio.
Ensured all video content loaded cleanly and performed well across devices critical for a cinematographer whose primary work is film. Optimized file handling and embed structure to maintain site speed without sacrificing visual quality.
Connected Noah’s active social presence across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn from the site, and built a blog section for his personal journey content supporting the dual purpose of the site as both a client portfolio and a personal brand platform.

Result

Noah Lorex now has a website that matches the cinematic quality of his work. Commercial clients and real estate agencies landing on the site are immediately immersed in his visual world; the photography, the film, the aesthetic before they read a single word about services or pricing. The three-category portfolio structure ensures every visitor type finds relevant work within seconds.

On the other hand, the personal brand layer: the introduction, the blog, the social integration gives Noah a professional hub that supports his growing presence across platforms. For a creative professional whose reputation is built entirely on visual impact, the website now makes that impact from the very first frame.
